Individual untranslatable words within a paragraph or cell are made read-only and cannot be modified by the translator. By default, none are defined for Adobe InCopy files. This section may be used to enter specific styles within the source document that should be marked as non-translatable text in the document. Completely non-translatable paragraphs/cells will be ignored by the system. This way the leading and trailing whitespaces will not be shown to the translator in the Translator Editor. When you tick the option Do not show leading and trailing whitespace to the translator under Content, the corresponding settings will be automatically enabled in the Text Segmentation as well. The options are described in general below based on individual sections.
When setting up a file format configuration for Adobe InCopy Files, there are many options to choose from to ensure extraction is successful. The General Tab contains options for general content, styles to not translate, content exclusion, and text segmentation. Ignore formatting changes to texts that do not contain letters nor digits. Show texts that do not contain letters nor digits to the translator. Show leading and trailing whitespaces to the translator.
